Many thanks to those of you who have kindly provided feedback from the conference. A selection of the feedback can be read below:

Excellent subject and very relevant good speakers. An equally strong and range of opinions and backgrounds. Venue and location both good.

Very interesting. Good to be reminded of the huge social change that gave rise to the architecture of the 50s and 60s.

The conference was fascinating. I have been reassured that important issues have been raised and are being discussed. My knowledge of the period has been greatly enhanced by the interesting talks made by the speakers.

A very good balance. Right length of speakers/coffee breaks (networking opportunities). Good balance of food at lunch time.

Very good – raised the issue with the Minister, aired the complexity, showed the achievements of Scottish architects, and brought debate back from theory/aesthetics to practical issue of protection. Very good speakers and a clever mix of approaches.

Found it very stimulating – especially negative bias to modern architecture. People’s perceptions (public) as opposed to professional.

It was interesting to learn about the philosophy of listing and the general thinking behind its rules.

The questions and discussions raised many interesting issues.

Great variety of representatives.

A most excellent set of papers.
