Bonar Hall was built in 1976 to the designs of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia to serve the University of Dundee and people of the city and district.

The original design was much larger and included a theatre to the east of the site. The Dundee Rep theatre was later built by Nicoll Russell Studios in 1982 and recently expanded in 2002.

Bonar Hall is a very popular venue for all kinds of social events, formal or informal.

Bonar Hall is located in Park Place, situated on the University of Dundee campus.
